San Juan Puerto Rico

One of my favorite stops on any cruise is San Juan. I love the history in the old San Juan district. I have been here about 3 times throughout my travel times either by cruise or by a destination trip. Arriving today I was excited to get out and take a look at some of the top spots I have been before. You can definitely tell the pandemic has taken a toll on the local economy and it looks like the devastating hurricane a few years ago still is having an impact on the infrastructure also. This definitely was not the old San Juan I was used to but I still enjoyed a nice meal at Barrachina which is known locally as the birth place of the Pina Colada. After a couple of the local drinks, paired with the biggest pork chop I have ever seen, wandered back to the ship. Tomorrow I am off to Amber Cove, Dominican Republic.
