It has been a long 6 weeks of post-retirement work around the house type projects and I am so ready to have some fun. Tomorrow, I embark on my first retirement adventure sailing on Carnival Cruises' new ship the Mardi Gras. This will be the 7th sailing since her maiden voyage on July 31st. I have heard wonderful things about the ship and am eager to get on board and explore. Tomorrow is embarkation day which will be different then any other cruise I have been on. Requirements for safe sailing now require at least 14 days past your last vaccination shot and also a within 72 hour pre-cruise negative Covid test. Regardless, I am excited to get out on the open water again and explore Puerto Rico, Amber Cove and Nassau Bahamas in the next week. More to come!
